Training came before Romance
last Valentine's Day
As
a result of North Trafford College's excellent links with the Food
and Drink industry we were invited by Envirowise to represent training
at the Food Environmental Efficiency Day (FEED) held at the NEC
in Birmingham on 14th February.
Clare Nutt and Sid Haselden represented Vision at the exhibition
as the only training provider represented. Vision, a part of North
Trafford College specialises in business training in Manchester.
Vision courses range from 'Developing Your Staff' to 'Business Improvement
Techniques'.
Delegates
at the event attended various workshops throughout the day and spent
a good deal of time talking to exhibitors. Companies represented
included: Asda, Cadbury Schweppes, Fox's Biscuits, Ginsters,
Greggs, Heinz, Jacobs, John Lewis, McDonalds, Tate and Lyle, and
Warburtons.
Many delegates were interested in how programmes such as Healthand
Safety, Waste Management, Cleaning of Food Premises, and Food Safety
could reduce waste and save their businesses money.
Chef Paul Rankin took time out from filming Ready
Steady Cook to endorse the event. He delighted exhibition
goers by posing for photographs and presenting certificates to various
businesses in a Good Practice Recognition ceremony.
